Dominion Arms Grizzly

supposed to come with one, I have not yet received mine.

Be advise that if you put it on the gun, it will become restricted. There is an FRT # for the Grizzly with the pistol grip.

How does the gun become restricted if you put a pistol stock on it while keeping the butt stock on it?

Unless you can't put both one and the shotty is too short with the pistol?

I'm lost.

Uhh... How about you read Canam's gazillion page thread on the Grizzly before asking a question that's been answered quite clearly.

You remove the stock and put the pistol grip on it become restricted with 22" OAL.

I confirmed with CanAm. An FRT is the verified riffle number with the CFC.

Technicly you have 30 days to inform the CFC.

I wouldn't get arrested with one while the CFC isn't informed.
If the CFC could issue 2 reg. certificate it would be a bit better

Any shotgun will be classed as restricted if it is designed, modified, or intended to be fired with one hand. The issue comes down to whether the addition of a pistol grip means you intend to use it as a handgun.

The current FRT notes for ALL POPULAR PUMP SHOTGUNS state that a PG shotgun with a barrel less than 16" MAY be classed as restricted. This a a GUIDELINE made up by the FRT lab earlier this year.

Please read the big thread for answers to specific questions or further detail.

You would also need a Pal licence with Restricted class endorsment(ie you can buy handguns too) even tho you first bought it with a non-restricted class licence.

Just to make sure there is no confusion, when the members are writing "Pistol grip" they mean the stock is replaced with ONLY a pistol grip, not shoulder stock like on a Knoxx spec-ops stock. If you're replacing it with a pistol grip/shoulder stock (ie AR-15 type) you're good to go, as it should still be over the minimum overall length for non-restricted classification.

FRT = Firearms Reference Table, if I remember correctly. It's the number given to a specific make and model of firearm.
