Looking for the specs on the recoil spring in the P762.

Both the spring weight and would Sig P226 recoil springs work?

Thanks for any info.

P226 factory recoil spring is 15 lb for 9 mm and 20 lb for 40 S&W and 357 SIG.

however 7.62x25 has such a large range of energy starting at 390 J and goes all the way up to 760 J, Wolff has spring weight starting from 14 all the way up to 24 you can play with.

I took my new P762 to the range, and on almost every mag change where I used my standard amount of "slap the mag in" force the slide would release, go forward, and chamber a round on it's own.

Here at home, with the slide locked back and no mag in, I can slap the pistol grip into my support hand and it will release and slide forward.

I was thinking a stronger recoil spring might hold the slide on the slide release better, but wasn't sure if it would still cycle properly with a stronger spring.
