I would love to purchase one of these rifles, any idea on availabilit? Any shippments expected in the near future?

Also i am curious about the difference between the two. Same calibre and similar look. Any difference in functionality.

I believe there's been talk of a shipment sometime this summer, but I wouldn't hold my breath. Nothing firm...

The main difference between the SOCOM and the standard rifle is the short barrel, the gas ring front sight and reversible flash hider on the SOCOM. Quality as always can be a bit hit or miss, although my SOCOM was pretty decent right out of the box, FWIW. Buy one of each...they'll never be cheaper, and ...well, you know the rest.
