Dominion backpacker forend.

Anyone experiencing the forend poping off the BACKPACKER? it dosen't happen with 2-3/4 target loads, but buckshot/3"/slugs it pops off every time.

Just wondering if this is common. If there is a quick fix. or if this can be avoided by holding down (with tape) the release arm when firing.


dont get me wrong, for how inexpensive this gun is, it goes BANG every time.

Yes, it happens with a few of the guns. If you like you can shim the latch. There is a thread around on the subject.

Maybe you can sticky the fix on your dealer section...

Well i finally took it apart and realized my assumption that it was one piece of metal in foreend was wrong. There are two and they had come apart by a few mm. I tightened them up and cranked down on the screws hard. I can see this becoming an issue again in the future, and if it does i will look at putting spiked washers under the screws so they dont move at all.

Had mine out for the first time and the forarm fell off with 2 3/4 slugs . I would love to find the link for the shim fix.

Thanks JohnC! Going to try that with mine(Backpacker) It rattled from the start and slugs just shake it loose. Looks like an easy fix I do like the backpacker but it just has to work right before it gets the thumbs up! Thanks CanAm for the fun toy
