I like it!

Loaded 6.5 X 55 with 37gr behind 120gr Sierra Match King JHPBT bullets. CCI LR primers, mixed brass, with a firm crimp. COL is .010 off the lands at 3.045.

Fired through a Zastava M70 that has yet to be bedded (some day) 3 and five shot groups at 100 yards are running between 3/4 -1" centre to center; and are repeatable.

Book values say somewhere around 2700 FPS; I have no idea of actual.

Soft shooting and very clean burning; zero signs of over pressure, and now carbon blow-buy.

Many changes to my process; brand new Rock Chucker (should have bought one years ago); new Lee bench primer; new Lee Perfect powder measure (looks cheap, feels cheap, is cheap to buy, but is more accurate than the Lyman, RCBS measures I have used in the past).

I'm happy; about a year and a half ago I bought 5 lbs. should have bought 50 lbs. LOL

My intent is to get through Ground-hog season, spend some time with the rifle bedding the barrel, then start building up loads to find the optimum.

I have played with D4850 as well, and it is a little tougher to meter, but am now saving for heavier bullets for my other 6.5, a 1900 M96 Obendorf Long Rifle.

Wish I bought more of it too. LOL.

I noticed the other day that SFRC Auctions has a few surplus 35 LB drums of Tight Group (from General Dynamics) coming up for Auction in the near future. Starting bids at about $1000 as I recall.

I did buy a few jugs of D4895. Also D4064, D4350, D8208, D5744, D4198. Maybe some others I don't remember. Looking at the current powder situation I feel fortunate to have bought when I did. We won't see pricing like that again.

Yup it’s good stuff. D4895 works amazing in my 6BR, and D4064 for the 65creed. I shoot it for training but wouldn’t hesitate to use it in a match if I had too, low ES/SD and excellent groups. To bad I’ve already burnt 1/2 of my 8 jugs, should have bought more!

The reloaders lament.

I've shot very little of my Dominion powder, still working on the older stuff first.
