Has anyone tried this powder in 9MM, 38spl or 45ACP? Dirty? Clean?

The price is right for this powder at Canada Ammo but not much sense in buying if it has less than stellar performance. I have been using 700X with my 125 gr lead bullets in my 9MM's and it seems to work fine. This powder is said to be clise to the same burn rate.

I just ordered their 4064SSC, so I can't comment specifically for their 700X, but it's almost the same as the 700X you'd buy in 1, 4 or 8lbs. The only difference is that it's OEM grade instead of canister, so you'll have to re-work your loads every time you change lot number.

The powder comes out of the same factory, same production line, etc... Personnaly I don't see the point of switching from TG (31$/pound) to D700 (26$ or 30$/pound), because I use TG anyway, but if you're into 700X, I wouldn't hesitate. I just ordered 5lbs of D4064 without hesitation.

D700 is good powder if you have the right use for it. It is similar to Bullseye in application - very fast burning and therefore should be very uniform, but will not produce top velocity. Would be good for target shooting.

It will work in all the cartridges listed by OP but won't be optimal in any of them. I found it to be clean burning but this will depend somewhat on the pressure your load generates - light or mild loads are more likely to burn dirty, like every powder.

IMO the D800 is a better powder for higher velocity in 45acp and probably 9mm .

Both D700 and D800 are flake powders that don't meter especially well.
