Anyone use these things? I had some 223 loaded up, 55gr FMJ with Winchester Small rifle primers and 65gr SP with the dominion primers (was given them, looking to use them up). The winchester primers, acted as normal, the dominion primers pierced, some even at the start load.

My assumption is that it is the primer, so going to start again with the Winchester primers and go back to the range but was curious if anyone else had this happen.

Seeing that they are the same size as small pistol and pistol are a lot lower pressure could you see using these in the pistols ok as a way to use them up?

I have some of those for the oddball stuff I have that requires Berdan primers, such as 8mm Kropatschek.

The cups are hard but quite thin.

I used some of the small rifle primers in a 223 bolt action and had similar issues with pierced primers, but only with hot loads.

Ya, these were start loads and 1 step up, running around 2750fps with the 65gr bullet.

I use Dominion SRP, in all my 9 mm pistol loads. Never had a problem.

When I contacted the dealer before going ahead with this, he said the only difference between Dominion SRP, and SPP, is the packaging.
