Just to share personal experience with product, nothing to do with manufacturer or dealer, at this point... cups are very thick though.

Bought 10K of those due to price. 1/300 won't fire even on 5th try. 2/100 or worse, won't fire on 1st try. If you compete - stay LONG WAY away from those!!
I did try different hummer springs, if one is wondering.

Primers are not as easy/'positive' to seat as Fed primers either.
 
And I've had the exact opposite with them. Initially they wouldn't feed through my Dillon RF100 though, but now with the new nipple they fill the tube as fast as the Federals.
I have had zero issues with them feeding and seating in my 1050 out of 4000 loaded. Of those 4000 I've had 6 not go off on the first strike and 3 not go off at all. That's as good as I've had with Federal, except that I always get upside down or crushed Federals to the tune of about 8 per 1000 on the 1050. I run a factory 11lb hammer spring in my Shadow and a factory firing pin spring and firing pin. Even my Steel Challenge gun with the 8.5lb hammer spring sets them off with only a few light strikes out of 1000. I know that Chase was having issues with his, about 50% didn't work in anyone's guns. But we figure he was seating them too deep and crushing them. While I'll still use Federals for matches, Dominion now dominate my reloading room for everything else.
 
I was a little worried when i bought the domion spp but like Slavex i'm happy with them. I use them quite frequently in regular match ammo.
 
For the cost of Dominion over Feds or CCI for general plinking, small price to pay I suppose. 2/100 seems on the high side. I bought a box of the Dominion to try out but haven't gotten around to use 'em just yet. Maybe this wknd I'll reload a test batch since I gots nothing going on.

Those numbers really surprise me. I've been shooting Federal primers almost exclusively for over 35 years (well over half a million primers (perhaps three quarters of a mil)) and I've had exactly ONE fail to fire. That one was memorable because it was SO unusual.

I run thru 4000 on then on my Dillon 550 and shadow without any issues so far.
 
Same here; in 20 years, I've only ever had 1 problem with a federal primer, and it was so strange, I didn't even think it was a primer problem at first. I actually believe that it was a high primer, and not a problem with the primer itself
 
I have gone through approximately 15K of these primers this summer and have not had one problem with any of them small pistol or large. Over the Chrony the loads I Ihave tested are the same results as achieved using any of the other brands.

I have shot the SSP in M&P, CZ with 13# mainsprings, S&W 686, GP-100, & Uberti SAA. The LPP went off in Ruger Blackhawks, Uberti SAA and 1911's. It isn't like I have one gun and they perform well in it.

For the price difference I won't be going back to Federal/WIN. Remington primers any time soon. More for some I guess.

Sorry, I meant overall reliability is similar, with Federal if I check my cases and make sure there are no high primers or crushed or otherwise mangled primers, I am fine. But I get a fair number of squished, upside down or whatever primers. Now that's using the RF100 to fill the press, hand loading the tubes reduces but doesn't eliminate that problem. So far with all my loads and the ones I've done for others, I've had 1 primer get crushed with the Dominions. So the few light strikes put me in the same ballpark of reliability as Federal overall. Of course, the difference between finding the mangled ones or being surprised by light strikes is important. Which is why one is for matches the other for practice.

I've only gone through 1500 of the large pistol ones and haven't had any issues. Like with the small ones use them for practice/plinking but if I was very serious about competing I wouldn't trust them.

I still don't have primers of any kind so if you want to sell some of those Dominion primers, bring them on Wed. It will get me to open that Hornady box of mine. lol!

I hope they work out for you. I figured Canada Ammo still had a bunch. CeeZer is a friend of mine and if he wasn't happy with them and wanted to sell them, then I'd be happy to help him out. :)
 
Ya I'll wade in 'n second Canuck44 since we bought from the same batch - absolutely zero FTF's. Not sure how many I've run through but at least a couple thousand SPP and maybe 500 LPP. I have Wolff springs in both my GP100 and Beretta (and also in my Uberti [LPP]) so not the heaviest hitters on the block but no trouble with ignition yet.

On the other hand I usually DO have a FTF in any given batch of CCI and Winchester....really pleased with Dominion primers...YMMV
 
That's good news I think I'll order both small and large. Thanks for the input, this definitely is a bargain!
 
I have only been reloading for three years.

I have used CCI and the Dominion small pistol primers in my Shadow.

The ONLY issues I have had are those caused by me.

I may be naive, but I think a primer is a primer is a primer ... at least in my experience.
