Don’t sell short flintlock black powder rifles

While waiting for my PAL (8-1/2 months in BC this month) I discovered it was legal to own and shoot a flintlock rifle without a PAL.
So, I found a great used Thompson Center 50 cal FireStorm. I know it isnt a purists flintlock, but it is a blast!
I now have my deer rifle for this Years hunting season. 50 cal 350 gr sabot with 120 gr of 3fff powder. Think loud smoking fun

Very cool, mdon. Seems unreasonably reasonable that something fun is not mired in regulations. Better keep it secret, along with the antique rules.

On a slightly unrelated topic... something's wrong if your PAL application hasn't been approved in 8 and a half months...

You definitely need to give the rcmp a call and check on the status of your application. It shouldn't take that long.

It came through last week after 8-1/2 months. And I did call, every month. Oh well, I have it now
