I've done the Surefire fore end integral light bit on my Scattergun tech, but what I'm looking for is something detachable with an LED Surefire unit. I'm switching the 870 this light will go on between short configuration with the light at home and duck/geese hunting with a 26" vent rib barrel, so I'm looking for a fore end that will be unobtrusive when hunting. Maybe a rail system... with a Surefire LED that allows momentary and continuous operation. The short barrel's a 12.5 as well so a light that doesn't extend beyond the muzzle would be nice as well. Ideas?

I've been looking for the Surefire M69 picatinny railed forend for quite a while (but without success).

TSE can sell you a Falcon Industries' Ergo 3-rail forend.

I use this mount combined with the light in the second link. Gets the job done and is easy to remove should I not want or need a light.

Going to use that setup, slick, thanks Claybuster. Think that mount could be reversed and inletted into the fore end to keep the light further back. Going to be using one of the Streamlight TLR-1 C4's.
I suppose it could be but I've never tried it. On my gun I have the light mounted to the left and it's easy to turn the light on and off with the thumb of my forward hand. Here's what it looks like.
