DONT HATE: AR Optics options for Poor People. Replica/Chinese/ebay/airsoft

I used to swear by the cheap knock off stuff from Deal Extreme. I ran a Fakepoint Micro with a knock-off LaRue mount, ran it for a few years and used to laugh at all the suckers spending $600-700 on the real deal, but it crapped out on me, just as promised. Ended up flipping all of the knock-off $hit on the Airsoft forums and got an Aimpoint PRO for my Norc AR. They go for about $400 - $450 plus tax and shipping, depending on who you get it from. I've also got a Bushnell TRS 25 on my 870 and so far, no issues. I think they run from about $100 in Canada, or about $80 from the US if you have the minerals.

As for anything with magnification, I'm guessing those Bushnell AR optics aren't too bad.
 
I've been eying up the TRS-25 with it's price point, but I really want an Aimpoint PRO. Unless one pops up on the cheap locally, I'll stick with the trusty iron sights until then.
Good to see people are having great results with the TRS-25!
 
That's why I've gone back to irons. I still have my eye sight to be able to use them. Soon enough it will be optics for my failing eyes. I gotta use it before I loose it :)
