I am going to the IPSC Nationals for the first time. I have added some mag bases to my mags and need to know the correct way to measure them to be sure they do not exceed the 140 mm. limit. The rule book is a little vague in the drawing. I would think they should be measured from the highest to the lowest point along the back of the magazine, which means I must do some modifying, but in Appendix F1 the measuring point of the bottom of the magazine is confusing. Is the mag base included in the measurement? The measuring line looks to be halfway through the mag base. I am using the 2004 IPSC rule book. Much thanks to whoever can clear this up for me.:D :D :D

Measure from the highest point at the back of the feed lips to the farthest point down the mag (incl. bases)
Like Musky asked, if you provide gun and base pad brands, we can probably tell you now if you're OK.

I am using a CZ Tactical Sport with some home made base pads made out of plastic. At this point I measure them at about 144 mm. so I have some work to do this weekend. Thanks for everyones input.:D
