Anyone know if you can get these in Canada?

Any other options that are recommended?

I’ve seen the sidewinder and I’m sure I could just build my own. I’d prefer one that quickly mounts to a picatinny rail so I can swap it between rifles as needed.

I have a Hawkhill dope card and absolutely love it. Mounts to the pic rail so you can move it easily. Bullseye London carries them.

If you just build your own sidewinder you can put velcro on your different rifles and swap them around. After using an actual "Sidewinder" and having it fall apart, I'd highly suggest building your own, haha. The Hawkhill ones are nice and I believe Insite carries them as well but they are not cheap.

I second RugbtyDave on this one; either get a sidewinder and run it, or just build your own. From Dave's advice, I got one of the Armageddon Gear armbands (https://www.insitearms.com/product/competition-data-armband/) which comes with 2 velcro cards and some wet erase markers. Then all you need is a way to attach one of them to your gun and boom, you've got an arm band (for more detailed and fixed stuff) and a gun mounted solution (for stage-to-stage stuff). You can get the flexible, rubber coated wire from just about any hardware store or Cabelas too.

I really think I’d prefer to have the data on the rifle. I’ll shoot a PRS match any chance I get but I’m definitely doing it for fun and I’m not in it to “compete”, therefore I can’t see myself laying out detailed stage sketches and whatnot. I just want to be able to quickly reference rifle dope.

The other problem with the wrist coach: I’m a lefty but shoot right handed. I would have to take it off every time I would want write on it. Or do you right-handed folks take it off to write too?

You're not making detailed notes on the stage, just the bare necessary info.
I have a simple scheme:
Each target is listed, either as number, color and/or shape. Next is the hold-over in mils, if I am using hold-overs. If I have 3 targets for example, I'll dial the first drop and then write the hold-overs for the other 2. Then I'll have the actual drop in brackets, in case I get lost or decide not to hold-over. Then I'll have the min-max windage for the wind bracketing.

So you have a target indicator and 3 or 4 numbers. Easy to quickly read and adjust scope accordingly.

I use a cheapo wristcoach from Amazon. I write the info on cue cards and insert them. I don't wear it the whole match, I'll take it off when not shooting.

My approach is similar to Alpheus' with a few caveats:

For PRS/NRL matches:

I have the Armageddon Gear armband that Kudu referenced above. The plastic cards that come with it are a bit bigger than a business card and have velcro on the back. They also come with a fine point wet erase pen and an "eraser" pen. Generally I just use it on my wrist and write: target identifier, range, dope and low/high wind value for each stage. If I feel there's a benefit to a particular stage of not having to break cheek weld and have info right in front of, I'll make a 2nd pared down card that goes on the sidewinder that will have: target identifier, either holdovers or dope (depending on strategy for said stage) and whatever my starting wind call for each target is.

For team/field matches (with ranging on the clock) or if it's pouring rain:

I use a Sunrise Tactical wrist coach and a grease pencil. It's a bigger surface to write on which works better with the "coarse" writing you get with a grease pencil and a grease pencil still works fine in the rain, unlike the wet erase pens. Mine has a flap that opens so place for more info inside. I put a blank sheet of paper on which I've drawn a 1/2 circle broken down into 3 quadrants in the outside facing flap so I can quickly draw target locations and ranges/dope as I find them. The inside flap has another blank sheet where I can write additional info down and I also have plasticized cards with a mil-ranging chart and hard copy of my dope. At the end of the stage, I use my glove/finger to wipe the flap clean.
