Can someone tell me what 1911 double stack options there are.

I’ve found the Remington R1 - Double Stack for about $1600.

STI is great for sure but will start at 3K+ new. Not a lot of less expensive options other than the Remington and Para already mentioned. RIA also makes a double stack but I have not too many of those listed.
 
Norinco made one. I am told that it can use the Bersa mag, but cannot confirm this.

I have the Norinco and the Para. The Para is superb and feels slimmer in the hand.

The Norinco feels fatter, and I have fairly large hands.

I love shooting the 1911. Super fun. The grips just feel to narrow. I was looking for double stacks that I could get a wider grip.

I’ll keep looking around. Heard the 1911 Taurus has fat grips.

Will look around.


As for sti. I would love it. Just can’t justify the $$$$$$

I have an STI Edge, it is a fatty for sure. That being said you can get fatter grips for the 1911. My favourite grips are on my Kimber 1911, chunky and sticky. Personally I prefer a 1911 with fatter grips over the 2011. The 2011 is kinda squarish.
