Hi, thinking of buying a stoeger uplander field-grade for a general use shotgun, i am wondering if anyone has ever used a double with screw in chokes for turkey. If so, at what range? did it suit the job well? Thanks, skokie.

A double is to my mind the perfect turkey gun. I have killed all my turkeys under 15 yards so an X-Full is not needed and can be a handicap.

A double choked X-Full and Modified or similar would be great.

Don't listen to him! He is a heretic! He used a pump shotgun! PS doubles aren't bad in a blind

I shoot mine with a Fox A grade from 1910. 30" barrels choked full and full and use Kent tungstun matrix #3. Get close enough, aim right and they die.
