Hey all. I'm working on an old beat up savage 3b single shot. It isn't tapped for a side mount but the barrel is dovetailed for sights. It has the factory front post but no rear. What's the best sight system for a light weight single 22.
William firesights that I've had are decent for shotguns and muzzleloaders but im not sure I'd be happy with them on a 22. My next thought was skinner barrel mounted peep and file a new front post to my liking. Anyone use this system? I've never used a peep that wasn't on the reciever. Any other options for a more precise shooting? I dislike buck horn sights
