Hi Onagoth,
I have the Remington R-25 which is a DPMS 308. I don't have anything fancy on it, just a nice matte black Burris Fullfield II 3X to 9X scope, with the burris Tactical Rings (which are awesome) and 6" to 9" pivot bipod on the swivel stud, a shooters ridge I think. The picture on the remington site makes the gun appear more white, and I have seen a couple in person that appeared more white. When I saw mine in person at the store it appeared more green in the camo, so I bought it. I'm not sure if the others were "first issue" or whatever. If I was rough with the gun, I'm pretty sure the finish would rub off quickly, but since I just bought it to baby and bench shoot, it should last O.K.. I haven't even had chance to use it yet, as I just finally got the scope and bipod in. I am currently modifying the case that comes with them, same as the DPMS case except it says remington, so that the scoped rifle with bipod will fit in. The case is kind of crappy, but when I'm done with it, it should be not too bad.
