We were made aware of this a couple weeks ago at Shotshow and received confirmation this morning that the Remington Outdoor Company has closed the DPMS, Bushmaster, Storm Lake, and Tapco lines.

There products will no longer be produced.

It is an end to a great era.

saturated AR market?

Pretty much... sales are VERY slow down there as everyone has stocked up. Virtue-signalling hurt Bushmaster after the tragedy of Sandy Hook. Too bad as less manufactured parts will increase cost of those now available. I quite liked the Storm Lake pistol upgrades too...

Magpul should get the right back and purchase whatever tooling and CNC programming off Remington to get someone else to make ACR.

I don't think Remington really cares at this point because it looks like it wants to go back to focus on its original core products - instead of being a company that makes everything.

In a way i think that kinda make sense for Remington.

RIP anyone stuck in 2009 I guess.

I actually laughed at this :p

DPMS never really produced anything I cared about. The Oracle was always a very bad AR especially compared to other inexpensive models in the same price range. And yeah, Tapco will go unmourned by me. At least we'll always have their Israeli cousin, FAB
