.223, non-threaded barrel; to be honest I'd rather have a Norinco even if I had to pay twice as much. That rifle is junk. Shame to see it on the market.

WTF are u talking about? Have you seen one? handled one? shot one?

I have. The barrels are non threaded yes, but they are stamped 1/9 5.56. The fit are finish are excellent. They are made of 7075 aluminum, not 6061.

For the price, they are an unbeleivable bargain for a first AR for someone. You can always change the barrel to a threaded S&J later if you want.

I own Noveske, KAC, LMT and others, I would even buy one of these just to tinker.

Norinco's quality is waaaay lower than the DPMS Oracle.

NEA's is waaaaay lower than the Oracle too. Unfortunatly...:(

Junk??? prove it.

All right all right crap was more than a stretch on my part. At the price a non-threaded muzzle isn't that big of a deal as you could easily have it done. I just hate the export restrictions from the USA. My main issue was it being .223 as that chambering is not suitable for a semi-auto rifle. SAAMI intended the .223 chambering for bolt actions; it is too tight for reliable semi-auto firing; especially when things get dirty. If it is indeed 5.56 or a "sloppy" .223 then either issue is moot.

It is a hell of a deal and the barrel could easily be swapped. Would be very hard to build the rest of the rifle at that price.

Don't call any firearm "junk", man. Some people may have it and it will become offensive.
For $875. I think it is a good deal. You can add a post ban muzzle brake if the barrel OD is 0.75 inch.

SERIOUSLY f**k, is the firearms community this god damn politically correct that we can't can't point out an elephant in the room when there is one?

Oh and before everyone gets all pissy.
