That's a great looking rifle. Did you pick up the whole kit with that case and everything or just the rifle? Where did you buy it? How much? If you don't mind me asking? What ammo are you using?

The rifle comes compleat in a case 2 mags bipod No scope though sells for around 3200 tax in

How do you like the grip? I've heard mixed reviews, including that the bottom moves easily and can't be locked in place.

I have a DPMS HB in 223 but it came with an A2 grip that needs to be replaced. I was thinking about just getting the DPMS target grip.

So far the grip is excellent I have no #####es about this Rifle .. As for the grip there is some minor play in the hand rest not the grip part to find the play you have to really work at it .

I picked up a DPMS SASS last month as well. Very pleased with it. Close to a bolt gun in terms of accuracy. Very comfortable to shoot. With the muzzle brake the recoil is similar to an un-braked AR15. Nice crisp trigger. Picked up a few 308 PMags from Questar, they drop nicely and fit well.

This photo is the first 5 round (un-zeroed) group I put through it at 100 yards. I've been shooting 175gr Federal GMM, no fliers and no malfunctions after 160 rounds. Shot some steel and a resetting LaRue target out to 600 M with it a couple of weeks ago.

That shorter 18 inch barrel is definitely affecting velocity. My elevation adjustments started to increase beyond that of my 26 inch bolt gun out past 200 M. It seemed that at 600 M I was hitting the LaRue, but not hard enough to knock it down. We could hear the clang, but it wouldn't drop. It was getting late in the day and it was a bit of challenge to see the LaRue clearly at that distance with my 3-9x36 Leupold so I'm hoping it was just me not getting good hits. It may have been that the LaRue was needing a reboot, can't say for sure.

I plan on trying it with some slightly better optics at those ranges in the future. Hopefully the shorter barrel doesn't reduce it's long range effectiveness to that great of a degree.
