I tried my DPMS ar after many years just having it, not using it. Since i'm used to target rifle triggers this is just nuts. What if the best solution to "upgrade" my trigger? Can a set of spring is good enough or I have to buy a whole new trigger. I would like not to have to spend 300$ for a rifle I don't really use. Is there a halfway solution. Best bang for the buck kinda thing. I don't want to compete with it. Tks

I put a few of these kits in milspec triggers, a couple of them were actually triggers that come in the DPMS lower parts kit. It does reduce trigger pull noticeably.

But keep in mind that if your trigger is grittier than a sandbox or creepier than an uninvited clown at a kids birthday party the spring kit won't help with that.

Next best solution would be to buy a budget friendly ALG ACT trigger. I think they can still be had for less than a hundred bucks?

The JP trigger springs is fine for American Eagle but will have light primer strikes on other rounds that have harder primers.

I've had good results with most North American manufactured ammo. When you try using junk like Barnul or MFS there will be light primer strikes.

I just did a pile of research on this myself, same boat, didn't want to drop $250-300 on a trigger and wanted to stay in " mil spec" trigger pull range, I really don't like a super light trigger. I ended up going with the ALG ACT trigger, but it was a total pain in the butt to track one down in Canada after the spring time buying frenzy this year lol. They seem to be sold out everywhere at the moment

The ALG ACT trigger is $68.99 USD and in stock at Brownells. I ran one briefly in my DPMS lower. It was a decent upgrade over the stock trigger but I sold it and ended up swapping my Triggertech into that lower.
