DPMS vs ARMALITE

Sorry in 223 20" bbl.

I have seen the bull barreled DPMS do some good shooting at 100 yds. I would think that ANY AR with a heavier barreled configuration with a little attention to Bolt fitting would be a good option. I dont think you will be able to say DPMS is better than Armalite, or Colt, Bushmaster, etc for that matter.

Boltgun

ETA: barrel twist and ammo type will have a lot to do with the performance too! My personal favourite combo is 1/7 twist with a 75-77gr match.

I've shot / owned 20" barrels from both Armalite and DPMS. Both were fabulous shooters. 6 of one and half a dozen of the other. What's more important is getting out and shooting the rifles !

Right now I've got a DPMS upper flat top reciever with an Armalite 20 Hbarrel screwed on. I love all of DPMS and Armalite and Bushmaster and Colt. Who cares ? Buy 'em all ! ha ha ha ha

Cheers,
Barney

The barrel used is going to have the largest effect on accuracy. Whether it's Armalite, DPMS, Colt, etc.. won't really matter. Get yourself a heavy barrel (freefloated, of course) with the twist rate and chamber that is optimal for your type of ammo and have at 'er.
