Dragging out deer - which Game Cart?

I use the sled from Cabela's, the small one. They come on sale every now and then. Very sturdy. I also like to have the deer in there for transport in the back of the truck, keeps the blood and whatnot in. Also, get some helmets, it's great for the kids to use in the winter.
I purchased a bicycle cart for hauling kids off kijiji for $20. After removing the seat and cover down to the frame a sled (purchased at CT 1/2 price on Boxing Day) secures firmly with 2 tie down straps. A handle was fabricated from a piece of conduit.
On wood roads and fields the cart basically follows along effortlessly behind you. The solid handle is a must as it actually tries to run you over. In the bush, simply remove the straps and you have a sled as mentioned previously that takes most of the work out of it. I can also carry 36 decoys, gun and gear myself and then when I get to the wet areas float the sled.
This is my son's buck that he hauled over a mile while I walked along side him and chatted. He didn't even ask for help or build up a sweat.

I hauled my buck alone over twice as far this year with minimal effort as well.
Notice that these use BMX type wheels and tires that are durable and easily replaced if needed. The air tires work like shock absorbers and bounce over bumps and small logs. We actually tried to haul a deer from the same spot using a game cart from Cabelas a few years ago and ended up just dragging the deer as the trail was too rough for the small, hard wheels on the game cart

That's a cool video and congrats to your daughter, but I'd have to question why you didn't just drive the truck up to the deer?
I offered and she said "nah, it's OK". This was the last stretch down to the truck, after dragging it about 250 yards through a cut-block. We took turns on the way, but she insisted on doing the last part on her own. I figured I might as well capture a video of it. The deer weighs about twice as much as she does.
I used the same sled to drag out my blackie in October. His hind legs were dragging out the back end but getting the bulk of his body in the sled made a huge difference (I tried to drag him without the sled first and gave up pretty quickly). Only had to drag him about 80 yards, but I was glad I had the sled. Backed the truck down into the ditch with the tailgate jammed into the bank, and then slid the bugger right down in with the sled.

Yes I can appreciate the tough tenacity of youth. At times strong like bull, smart like street car. I have carried many deer out across my shoulders with my orange coat draped over the deer, and they were not fawns. Now that I have aged some with accompanying medical issues, me being strong like bull is gone, strong like 8 wheel Argo is in. Many good ideas here for extracting deer from the far 40, those plastic sleds look like the cats a$$.
