I'm interested in purchasing a Dragunov rilfe in Canada but am unsure of a few things, and think other members of this board may be able to help me out:

a) Is a Dragunov covered under any exisiting prohibited classes? I'm asking this as, I believe, the action is very simliar to an AK and AKs are prohibs.

b) Does anyone know where one would be aquired, if it is legal to do so? I have seen knock-offs (such as the Norinco NDM-86) on the internet but again, can't find any in Canada.

Thank you, and please get on the letter train so we can proactivly show our support for, and membership to, the legitimate firearm community in Canada.

I'm pretty sure it's prohibited as an AK variant. You could always get an SKS with a Fiberforce stock:D

drugunovs are in with the AK's as prohib because they are varients if you just want the look you can get a drugunov style stoc kfor an SKS
