I've been looking for a 338 Lapua magnum rifle for awhile now and came across this one. Does anyone have any experience with one of these or know if they are non restricted in Canada? They look pretty intriguing and have quite a hefty price. Might have to sell off a few of my other rifles to get one of these. The Barret MRAD has been on my radar as well and I know you can get one up here. Any info would be appreciated.

Yeah, the price for the MRAD is right up there near the $7K mark. I was also looking at the Ruger Precision Rifle in 338 Lapua Magnum and was quite impressed and it comes in at around $2500. I did a search on it and the reviews were great. The only complaint was it was a bit heavy at around 15lbs, so you're not going to be lugging this thing around in the bush for any great distance. The only advantage I see to the MRAD is it's very modular and I really don't care about that anyway, at least not enough to pay $7k for one.
Speaking of Wolverine, I'm a bit disappointed in them in the fact that I was planning on buying an XCR-M from them and was quoted on the phone a price of $2955 for the competition model in Black. So it took me a few weeks to get the down payment and when I went to the website to look it up the price on the rifle went up almost $700.00. I phoned them and was basically told it is what it is and if I wanted one, that was the price. Oh well, I guess you snooze, you lose.
