whats the best way to get this pin out? ive been fiddling with this for the last.. .. hour or so? and I cant seem to get it to move either way. It seems it wants to be driven from left to right. Is this correct? is there an easier way than beating on this with a punch and a dead blow hammer? (it might be gummed in with cosmo still. I didnt remove this part during cosmo removal)

want to get my new optics on my rifle!

any help would be appreciated!

It isn't a pin. It is a lug. Press down hard above the "pin", and shift the rear sight back. It should pop out.

There may be a smaller diameter pin through the lug to prevent the rear sight from being removed. If there is one, it will be visible. If there is no pin projecting from the ends of the lug, there is not one there.

there IS a pin in mine, has a large head on the right hand side of the part, and a tiny pin sticking out the left side. going to need a smaller punch. bah humbug! LOL this pin is really really really tight. I'll work on it though!

thankyou!
