How much can I expect to pay to have my Savage Mark II GL with iron sights drilled and tapped for a scope base? Do I need to know what kind of rings I'm going to be using? Can anyone spell this out for me? I've never done this before so sorry for the simple questions.

Thanks.

Tyler

dpending on who you go to see you can expect to spend anywhere from $10 to $30 per hole to get drilled and tapped. Factor in the scope base you want to use or the smith recommends, will get you the number of holes.

2 piece bases will = 4 holes, whilst some might opt for a single rail and go with 2 holes because it is a .22 rifle.
