Drop in Ranges in Edmonton?

Phoenix Range in Edmonton has day passes. 40 yard indoor for rifle. Nice guys there. I do not believe any outdoor ranges have day passes, our doesn't (Sherwood Park F&G). But our membership fees are cheap. My brother comes up from Calgary for 2 days a year to shoot with me. He gladly pays the $90.00. Part of this money gets you the AB F&G membership as well. Super good deal !!

I looked into SPF&G. it looks like a great deal except for afew things:
-it's abit far from north Edmonton (1.5 hours)
-and you can't have guests or have drop ins

No offence to those that are members or part of the executive there. I just wish there was a drop in range in Edmonton-proper that's longer than 40 yards.

Does anybody know anything about the range at the airport? Is it open to the public?

Thanks again!

Phoenix is probably your only option. I hate to be so negative but their rifle bay is the stupidest setup I have ever seen. Pistol bay is not too shabby though.

Since I'm shooting non-restricted, what about a piece of crown land that
Guys usually use? With enough gunnutz in Edmonton, there's gotta be something... PM me instead if you prefer. Thanks!

Sherwood park is NOT 1.5 hours. It's about 40 minutes from downtown. For 130 bucks a year you get a family pass to the range, the camp grounds, and the stocked trout pond to teach your kids. Check it out. Best 130 bucks I've ever spent on a range membership.
