Hey everyone.. This is nothing serious. just curious thats all.. I just bought a 338-06 from a very good guy off here.. the rifle seems to be custom made and bedded.. anyways whoever did the work did a fantastic job. but im curios as to the make of the barrel(stainless) and to what twist rate it is.. There are stampings on the bottom of the action(stainless) and beside where they stamped 338 06 they also have DRS... is this the makers marks or is this something else i should be aware of?? as for the rate of twist i can quick run a tight patch down the bore and count the turns so not a big deal..

Thanks again!
Josh

I stamp DRS on actions I have trued and on barrels blanks I have installed. I don't keep caliber and twist info. A good picture of the rifle might twig a memory. DRS has been my 'mark' since 1967.
