also, to get the stuck media out, I sometimes run the cleaned cases in the vibratory tumbler without any other media.

Thanks for that...great info. Do you use a hand mister/spray bottle to apply? Or just throw some into a plastic bag with the 'formula' and shake rattle and roll ?

I use the largest plastic bag I can find and spray lightly over the cases being careful not to spray inside the mouth of the cases then close the bag and roll them around for a minute

Substitute lanolin (liquid) for olive oil. You can find it in pharmacies.

The pharmacies around here don't seem to carry lanolin, I found it available on Amazon.

I use a spray bottle, give it a shake before each use and it's good to go.

I only lube my rifle cases not my handgun cases.

Try it on some hand gun cases you may like it ..smooth press operation

Ive been using flax seed I got in bulk, drier sheet, and some car polish in a kids rock tumbler. Seems to work. I do have to tap the case of each one though and I just got a vibratory tumbler from CT last week and will follow up with that as mentioned above. Good info guys.

I found that stuff is way to fine 12-18 grit works better.
If anyone wants a almost full bag of the 18-40 stuff in Calgary shoot me a PM.

I buy ground walnut shell at princess auto. It is fine and does not stick in cases or flash holes. About $30 for 50 pounds. The TSC stuff on sale looks to be the same stuff and a killer price.

Princess Auto here too. Pretty cheap, not that dusty, I put a cap full of nu finish car polish in with it.
