Hi,

I am wondering if anyone tried the DryFire Simulator (http://www.dryfireus.com/).

I was looking to get a used single head system basic stuff to get better at wing shooting especially for the speedy Grouses.

However I could not find any place that sells these here in Canada especially used ones.

As for new, they are a bit on the expensive side and they come straight from the US with the dollar value etc. And without additional accessories

Any hint about this simulator sales in Canada?

Thanks

Not sure who sells them here other then direct from dryfire us. They are a pretty cool system. Like anything like this though you only get out what you put in and they do take some setup. They will improve your shooting if you work at it.

This is an indoor practice device that analyzes and shows you every shot. Very practical for winter times... But I admit not too affordable

I had one for a couple weeks.I had bought the system to practice sporting clays. It didn't work that well lacking depth perception (3 dimensions). You need also a fairly big area to take advantage of the set-up. For trap and skeet, it worked fine. I guess it was really what it was designed for. I sold it a month or two after buying it and someone jumped on it write away.

The new projector system seems to fix the depth issue you speak of with a more realistic target presentation. I have not tried the projector version yet though.

Yes the projector and game add-ons bring it way forward in terms of immersion. Yet one needs a dedicated room to fix the projector and make the setup permanent. And it adds to the costs

i've heard that if you use it heavily during winter months, you need to be careful not to develop a flinch... this could be really annyoing to fix later on in your season.. fyi
