Okay, I'm still playing with my son's scanner! This is just a walk down memory lane... I'm getting ready for my speech as a veteran at my high school and I found these pics...

Captured T54 with me on turret with 12.7mm DshK machine gun... Great fun... I'm on exchange with the US Army's C Coy 3rd Bn, 17th Inf Regt, 7th Inf Division in Fort Ord, Calif. 40 of us PPCLI from the 1st Bn Calgary flew down in Feb 1978 and the weather was fantastic...

The food was decent, but best of all the hospitality was second to none.

Hope you enjoy the Red machine gun (and captured by Isrealis, T54).... :D

Klunk is that the Sinai on the west side of the Suez. If so we played in the same sand box at one time or another. I was an UNMO with UNTSO from 94-96 and did a tour in Ismailia :)

Cheers

Biggest unguarded gun collection on the planet

Myself and the unit gunplumber were in perpetual #### for 'collecting'....we used to bring stuff back that drove itself

I look back now to realize I had no idea how much fun I was having....but FAWK it was hot....Afghanistan hot...
