Is this getting any traction? There was a thread but it is now locked.

Perhaps someone from DSSBCA could chime in with a sitrep?

Asking since I received an email from DSSBCA (just quoted the pertinent info). Did the survey...

"Going to court!!!!

We're optimistically planning for future matches... Please take a minute to complete a ONE QUESTION survey!

Stand up or bow down!!!!

I'm sure you've now heard of the Government's attack upon law abiding firearms... We all know this will do NOTHING to stop criminals obtaining weapons and wreaking havoc, but it will permanently destroy our sport and deprive us of our property. We STRONGLY urge all DSSBCA participants to get active, donate to lawsuits, disseminate petitions, and protest responsibly when you can!!

The Board has decided to donate $8000 (the bulk of our contingency fund) to this fight!!

The DSSBCA is unique as a registered Society organizing multi-gun matches. This had led to us being contacted by noted firearms lawyer Ed Burlew, LLB. As President I will be completing an affidavit on behalf of our almost 400 CASE graduates and almost 250 DSSBCA members. The Board will also be contributing to the action from our contingency fund. No carbines means no DSSMatches, so we're all in!!!! You can donate here:

COVID-19 stalled our membership drive, and it would look good for our affidavit if we continued to grow year after year. We're not likely to have matches this year, but hopefully people see fit to join up and lend support. There IS a chance we will carry the membership over to next year... Anyway, it would be great if you would sign up and support the fight!"

Hey all!!

Yes mods locked it as some people kept on negative tangent... Not cool!!

Best place for updates is John Hipwell's thread: https://www.canadiangunnutz.com/forum/showthread.php/2021862-JUDICIAL-REVIEW-of-OIC

They've initiated the action, DSSBCA has contributed our $8000 contingency fund, and the finishing touches are being placed upon my affidavit in support of the action.

Coalition for Gun Control has applied for intervenor status, so that's going to increase costs. I strongly encourage all shooters to contribute to this fight!!!!

On another note, we've been lobbying the Boards of the ranges we hold matches at... We're hoping we MAY get a few MODIFIED (e.g.: smaller) matches late-July/early August... Keep an eye on your emails!!!

Keep up the fight!

Sounds good, keep up the momentum.

Keep us posted on the matches.

BTW - Bolt guns okay?

Cheers, Snowballs

Going to need to be 5.56/7.62x39 or smaller bolt due to range templates.

Also "DSSMatchmembers" on facebook is fairly active for info.
