DU Sporting Clays Fun Shoot

We have a great fun shoot lined up for this years DU event at the Galt Sportmen club. Make sure you don't miss out on this one because we have plenty of exciting prizes, raffle items and auctions to be won like a 50" Plasma TV, a fully guided goose hunt and much more.

Looking forward to spend a great day busting clays with everyone!

This looks great! Little pricey for me, but I guess it is a good fundraiser, I will probably be there! Will tickets sell fast, or can I wait a bit..?
 
I wish I had a better 2011, I just paid my income tax and it will be a while before I can travel that far.

I will make a donation to the local DU if you can get Henry Nachaj to sho up and shoot a Canadian Target.
 
I will be at the North American Grand Prix at the Willows this July. I will be in Kelowna leaving to come back to Montreal on June 2 after CSA National Gas Code annual meetings. Which is just after I come back from shooting the Euro Compak in Budapest.

BTW, it is cheaper to fly and stay in Europe than fly across Canada or the US. $990CDN to Budapest via KLM, $91 CDN/day for a 5 star in Budapest, $20 CDN for a 5 course meal and $700 CDN for a 3 series BMW for a week all taxes in! Flying into Toronto for a meeting: $757, hotel $150, mid-size (Corolla or similar) $150, all plus tax!

I do urge everyone in the Toronto area to go shoot Galt as it has held the Canadian Nationals and Robert Meisner can put up some good targets. BTW, La Roue du Roy has held the biggest, largest DU Sporting shoot ever with 604 particpants raising over $160,000 at the event. I still have a watch for winning class during a shoot-off as a good memory of the event!

I shoot a Rem 870 on the day of the shoot and I'm the committee chairman. That means you can bring whatever gun you'd like! ;)

Bob does a fantastic job of setting up the targets for the day of the event. Being that this is a fun shoot, he never makes it too challenging allowing the average Joe(like most us goose hunters) to have a fighting chance. But he always throws in a few hardballs for all you veteran shooters!:p
 
We are less than 2 weeks away form this year's shoot. Be sure to come down and join in on all the fun and don't miss out on your chance to win a 50" Plasma and a guided goose hunt for 4!
 
For the sporting clays description it does not say bring your own shells but under the fun events for 10 dollars it does, does this mean shells are provided as part of the 75 dollars?
 
Had an awesome time today! Met some great guys/gals and it was a fantastic introduction to sporting clays. Thanks to everyone at Ducks Unlimited and Galt Sportsmans Club!

I'm glad you had a great time at the shoot. A lot of hard work goes into putting an event like this together but it is all worth it in the end when the proceeds go to an organization such as Ducks Unlimited.

Thanks again to all those that came out to support us and we hope to see a few more friendly faces next year!
