Hey everyone.

I'm looking for a duck and geese call. Canada geese one. I'm brand new been out to one hunt. Looking to slowly get my gear, I bought a couple at cabelas and they don't sound like anything but a whistle. And recommendations would be greatly appreciated.

I have a few, but honestly the Duck commander one seems to work the best for calling in the ducks. Geese I dont hunt so can't comment

For cheap beginner calls, I recommend these:
Duck: Buck Gardner Double Nasty II or Double Cross
Goose: Zink PC-1 Power Clucker

Lots of videos online to teach you to call. Once you become more experienced, there are much better quality (and more expensive) custom calls out there.

Perfect thank you!

Everyone I hunt with has a different brand of call. All short reed goose calls and single or double reed duck calls.

It's all in how much you practice. Learn the call and how much backpressure, deflection and air pressure you need to make the correct tone/sound.

Took me a few hours to get it down, But once you learn it and teach yourself how to blow it, It becomes easy.

I've hunted with guys that could bring in geese like magic with zinc calls. I bought the same call. I perfected the f*#koff call. I can literally turn any flock of geese around with it. I ended up shooting the call out of spite. I don't believe it's so much the call but the caller that makes it work. What ever you choose practise with. If you can get out and listen to wild geese and ducks and how they sound when feeding or landing or locating each other and try to mimic that
