It's the off season and I am board. I figure if I cant do any waterfowl hunting talking about it will have to do. So what is on your lanyard and of those what do you use most??

Right now; GK Canuck, edge guts. Buck Gardner SS-1 with flyway x guts. GK Giant Killer with E4 guts (very broken in). Buck Gardner Tall Timber. I'm looking for some new duck calls now. The last RNT I had was nice, I will probably buy another.

I use Ducklander duck calls... Good price, incredible tone... They are coming out with a new series of goose calls in the next few weeks... I currently use Zink goose calls... I have literally used dozens of brands and models... My son started making hand turned exotic hardwood duck calls and designed and milled his own inserts and tone board... They can't be matched for beauty... And the sound ranges from rich and throaty, to a high ringing rasp... In short, he makes an amazing call... I am a pretty proud dad... Will be using his Signature series this year.

Hoytcanon,

Does your son sell them? Are his Arkansas style calls? I'd buy and try a good Canadian made call.

Currently blowing a Molt gear ex3 for geese, and a gk comp slayer, running a Foiles dead meat mallard for ducks, and a buck gardener working man speculator for the bar bellies. Will be in the market for a new duck call this year though.

I am using a Samuel Game calls and Nimkii for ducks, both made local, For Canada's I Have a Zink SR1 and A PC1 and a Samuel Game call. For Canada's I really don't use my SR1 all that often, would have to say I use the Samuel the most and the PC1 for finishing. We are lucky these days to have so many great calls to choose form but there is something about the Canadian made calls that always ropes me in

Zink PH1(calmer conditions/ smaller water) and PH2 Duck calls(open fields, big water or windy days), GK Comp Killer (good and fast for technical work or reaching out) and a Doug Schuyler (finishing call) Goose calls.

I like to have a 1) high and loud and a 2) soft and deep version of both types of calls. 4 calls sit on my lanyard always.

I'm not much of a duck hunter and only go once a year at most. The call I use is a Scotch call, I have both the duck and goose calls, you don't need a lot of experience to use them.
