Duck decoys for goose?

Would Canadian Geese land in a spread of duck decoys in a field or would they stay away from them? Basically, I have the opportunity to score quite a few duck decoys for cheap and was wondering if they would help in goose hunting?

Its normally the opposite. Geese decoys can be better then duck decoys in a field. But duck decoys for geese dont work nearly as well. Not saying it cant happen, good enough hide and calling, I've brought geese into a spread with no goose decoys but its not ideal or a good plan

Agree. Ducks will land in goose decoys more often than the other way around. Use them.

We always mix our spreads on land and water... diversity helps.

Used a half dozen duck decoys about 20 feet away from my floating Canada goose decoys last week. The geese came into the spread, so I guess it didn't hurt. To bad duck hasn't opened yet as A LOT of ducks came into the geese decoys...
