Duck Hunting 2018

I was going to build a blind but im going to be using my kayak this season

Be mindful of dominant winds and sunrise and sun set directions. They do change slightly from now till the end of the season
The water is up way high this year so in most places wading isnt an option unless youre braver than i. Cold november water down the front of your waders makes you more mindful or skittish lol

You doing a boat in blind style ?

yes, we are iffy on a lot of spots actually. We are banking on the water going down a little bit once the cold weather comes, usually it does happen. We were out the other day and couldn't believe how many dead heads.

Any day you want us to tow you out there in the kayak you let me know.

Just bought a 3rd case of Blind Side (rebates on!)

Between that digging into the freezer for some duck blind deer sausage I'm ready for war!

You hunting redhead bay or tictac way?
I do most of my hunting on the south shore but my kayak can go anywhere.

Cooked up a feed of the old tried and true ,mallard breast wrapped with bacon and stuffed with jalapeno and cream cheese. I have most gear ready but me and the dog need some exercise. Can't wait.

We were just out on lake St.clair looking for spots to build a blind. Anyone else been out scouting? What does everyone need to do to get ready for this season?
Sell off my remaining 16 dozen snow silosocks then figure out to do with all the calls and 1 pair of waders have leftover after selling off the 2 layout blinds, 12 dozen real geese silos, floaters, lucky ducks etc. I sold.
