A recent move to the Ottawa area, and work obligations (I work in the FAR north & arctic) has been turning me into an armchair commando, ugh... When my archery deer season went belly up on Friday, see that thread for your amusement, ugh... I had planned to scout for ducks, only to discover a transmission leak on my SUV, so I couldn't tow my boat, friggen luck 'eh... I should have it back Monday or Tuesday...
Anyhow... I want to get out duck hunting, but would feel much more comfortable if someone who knew the area showed me the ropes... Launches, where to park, do's & don'ts in the area etc... I've done lots of duck hunting & have the gear, I just don't know this area...
So, I'm looking for someone to PARTNER up, OR take the time to show me around... My boat fits 3, so, I would very happy to host you with my brother & I...
I'll be building a camo frame on the boat after work this week, anyone know where I can get some military camo netting to use as a base layer?
My gear...
(1) robo duck with on/off circuit to set the amount of time the wings stay on & off...
(2) neoprene waders
(3) full camo
(4) duck decoys
(5) Lowe 1440M Jon boat & Honda 9.9 HP short shaft
(6) shotguns with LOTS of steel ammo
