Duck opener for our district finally rolled around yesterday and my wife and I were lucky enough to find a babysitter, so we hit a nice pond nearby. First time to it so i was going in blind. Luckily it was opener as the ducks had the brains of bricks and didnt care a lick the boat was in plain site. As always the key was not moving when ducks were flying. All in all we bagged two woodies and a mallard. Not bad for the first hunt of the season. If we were on the ball we probably could bagged another 3 or so, but alas thats hunting.
The Mrs. awaiting some ducks. She didnt hunt at all last year due to the birth of our daughter so shes raring to go this season.
Trees starting to change, and a bit of sun amongst the clouds
The 'ol 870 Wingmaster. We actually both hunt with these blued steel and wood beauties.
