So... Looking at power duck pluckers on the www.
Brings up a couple of questions......
1/ how do they work??
2/ lots of the www postings about power duck pluckers recommend chilling the bird for 2-3 days in tact before plucking ( dry aging).
Comments and experiences please.

Here i thought you were talking about the liberals.

My buddy used to have a pheasant farm with a commercial grade plucker in the cleaning shack. It’s a bugger doing ducks on them. Fingers need to be changed as soon as they wear slightly and the ducks feathers need to be completely dry. I wouldn’t waste my money on one unless you’re planning on plucking alot of birds. You’ll want a vaccum operated feather collection system too unless you enjoy feathers piled deep around you?!

The chickens are scalded prior to going into the plucker.
Is that an option with ducks.
While the chicken plucker is running water is run through and the feathers exit out the bottom.

Liberals are "Mother Pluckers" . . . or something like that!

I have seen a lite commercial unit that was on a drum the size of a gallon jug.
The outer coating of the drum was rubber and had little rubber nubs on it.
There was an attachment for a vacuum hose (think shop vac).
You tube anyone ?
