Duck time!!

Up early tommorow.... Im all excited.... just had to share that.... Go check on my rickity old tree stand while I'm out there. Its not far from "the pond" ....

well, the ducks were hiding..... but I invited a goose for dinner tommorow (just finished him up, in the fridge) Also seen a beaver has moved in. (I'm blaming him for the lack of ducks!!)

I couldn't make it to the post office this week so I was doubly pissed when the gunshots started going off this morning. Wood ducks galore in the river behind my house. The only saving grace was the weather - so warm that the mosquitoes were out.

Ouch! Just 2 weeks into our season and I have shot 69 birds myself and it's been piss-poor compared to other years. Even when I lived back east I don't remember ever being completely skunked.

can count on one hand how many times this has happened to me. got caught with our thumbs up our ass once. other than that i guess we where just at the wrong pond.

Never skunked shooting ducks before. At the very least you can jump shoot something usually.
