Anybody out since the opening day in Southern Ontario?

Was out yesterday afternoon with a buddy in Cooks bay saw a few flocks of geese and ducks pretty much all out of range except one mallard hen came right into the decoy.

Any update in other areas?

I will just say this, nothing is moving, anything that was is in a field during the day, nothing has migrated yet, need a good cold snap, just the locals kicking around right now.

I have literally seen 3 ducks so far this year. I hunt not far from a lagoon and I haven't heard any either. Geese seem to be slower then this time last year as well so I'm not all that concerned. The geese that are moving seem to be flying much later in the night then they have been in previous years as well.

I was out yesterday, nothing but seagulls around the water, a few small groups of ducks and geese are only one or 2 at a time. Moon is almost full, id say in a week or 2 with this weather might be nice. Behind my place ususally quite a few flying over the marsh area, havent seen any in the river or flying around here in woodstock area other then locals.

I've been out three times for ducks..hit my limit on the first two days and hit 5 of them yesterday. The geese have also been flying over my blinds as well and so far I bagged 6 honkers. Not a bad start to the season for me. I've been seeing lots of local birds since the goose opener, but looks like the teal and the woodies are already pretty much gone. Hopefully the northern birds start coming in.

Was out in parry sound last weekend with a few flybys. Too warm up there still. Need some ice to make it happen. looking forward to going back in 2 weeks and then middle of Nov until I cant stand it down in the bottom of Georgian Bay (matchadash area).

Lots of guys out for evening geese in the bottom of Simcoe (cooks bay), but im not big on geese.

Down the east end of 89b has been good for mallard and woodies, I have not seen any other species. Geese numbers are ok there as well (hunting over water). Over at the southeast end of 90 geese are very plentiful, small numbers of mallards flocking up and flying with geese into fields. Haven't seen any woodies here but haven't targeted water here yet (90A).

As noted above all are local ducks and geese, no northern flights. Tried to post some pictures, but haven't figured it out yet!

I have been out five times now with my son who is an apprentice hunter. We have had shooting and good numbers every time we have been out, mostly woodies and a few mallards and lots of geese, a good wing shot would likely limit out or come close to it every time out. I am however not much of a duck hunter, and he is learning so all he has taken so far is one goose. Going to try a new spot in the morning, hopefully be good for him. We are in south eastern Ontario, WMU 68B.
