There will probably be a live auction as the main event as well as numerous draws. The actual 'events" vary by committee but they will be well explained when you get there.

The DU banquets as a rule are a LOT of fun and are held for a great cause.
 
Yes, The reason I am asking you when and where is, I am on the Quinte Committee, and we are holding our banquet this Saturday. We will be having MANY draws, I think there is 9 draws, 4 guns are being auctioned and drawn, we have the Live and the Silent auction, 30 items will be in the live auction, and over 50 in the Silent auction.
 
Go & have fun ... and remember, it's "Strictly for the Birds" ... participate & spend a few bucks ... the $$$ you spend is put to very good use here in Canada ... and a lot of it is "Matched" with $$$ from below the border, to go even further in securing and maintaining habitat for waterfowl & other wildlife.
A wildlife/conservation leader since the 30's and one of the few organizations that " put's it's money where it's mouth is "
 
I recently re-joined DU after many years away and used to go to the dinners, they are a lot of fun. How are people finding out about them now? I don't seem to see them advertised on the website.



To add ---> maybe I should just search their website found what I was after with a little effort :)

No, not just anyone can go. Well, you can. But you have to buy tickets in advance. We are sold out this year in Quinte, but I know some of the other areas are having their dinners and there are probably tickets still available for those ones.
