I'm trying to establish a value for the following DU 12 guage that a friend won at a DU dinner about 14 years ago.

NIB unfired
American Arms Sterling 12 Guage 28 " vented rib
3" chamber
single trigger
coin finish receiver with english scroll work and DU engraving
one of a series of 600
screw in chokes

Any idea what it might be worth?

DU guns don't have much more value than regular guns. Find out what a new gun of that type is going for, and you won't be far off.

You may get more money, if you find the right person, but normally the DU guns are "worth" more.

American Arms imported a number of shotguns for the North American Market from both Spain & Italy .. among them, Zabalas Bros., Lanbers, Indesals, Faustis & Franchis.

The "Sterlings" were designated as "Bristols" prior to 1988. At that time, they were about 1/2 the retail cost of a new Winchester 101.

DU Canada utilized a number of different firearms in their Canadian Fundraising Program. Although a "Dinner" gun, dolled-up with extra engraving, higher grade wood, special serial numbers and a unique case might go for several hundred dollars more than a conventional grade gun of the same manufacture, they generally retain only a slight premium in the open
market ... 5-10 percent.

IMHO, in todays market, if the AA O/U your friend has is basically in "new/unfired" condition, he/she would do well to get $ 750 - $ 850 for it.
A staunch DU supporter may go a little higher.
