Dumb Question…..Brand New Browning.

I just picked up a brand new browning CXT.

Is that nice Browning sticker on the bottom barrel supposed to be peeled off before use or is it supposed to be left on

Most ppl peel them off. Its a personal choice. However time elements and any gun oil will eventually peel it off for you

I bought a NIB old stock Browning BPS & it had the Yellow & Black sticker on the bottom of the barrel...

I peeled it off & oiled the barrel...

Yep, at least on Brownings.

On Chiappas, they secure the barrel to the frame.

It’s not a dumb question, fellar. When I worked at a gun store I explained to a lot of folks that the sticker was an attention getter for the shelf. Like others have said, pull it off gently then, clean the area and add some oil.

To break in the gun you have to shoot it until the glue heats up and the sticker falls off on its own. That is why its on the barrel.

All my browning barrel stickers end up stuck to my gun cabinet.

Its just for gun rack sales. Mossberg has a yellow plastic clip. Beretta has a blue plastic clip. Browning has a sticker. Theyre the push up bras of the gun store. Gets your attention and totally forgettable once you take it off
