I want to insert batteries into my new safe. It says to remove the battery cover on the inside of the door to the safe. There is a black plastic block in that location. My question is which is the cover - the thin plastic strip at the front of the block, or the entire block itself? I don't want to remove the wrong part!

the block, push down where the serations are, and back toward the hinge.

Don't take this offensively , you can dismantle and clean a gun I assume , but can't get the plastic cover off a Crummy Tire safe ???

Hey TERMINATOR101CA, don't you take this offensively. I assume you can dismantle and clean a gun, but do you know how to use punctuation properly???:D

Who says he dismantles and cleans his guns! ;)

Yes because they last longer than some third world country's brand that is made to be a knock off of ours....smart ass

Thanks for the tips. I saw the removable piece but it all looked so flimsy I didn't want to pull on anything until I knew exactly what. And yes, I disassemble my Garand, 1911A1, K-31, etc...

I recently put my VZ-58 back together wrong, but that's another story
