Okay, there certainly is going to be alot of advice from 45-70 shooters.
My proposed experiment, is mounting a nice scope on my 458 X 2 inch Mauser, and casting some 522 grain bullets at the velocity range of 1150 fps.
Much like the velocity window of the propiertory wildcat 458 Whisper. It is said this chambering is not effected by wind much.....
458 Whisper used expensive 600grain, spire point, copper jacketed, my rifle shooting lead.
Rainbow trajectory and lots of MOA up on the scope. Approx' 110 MOA elevation.
Anyone scope a good 45/70, and try it out on targets? How was the long range accuracy fellas?
