Of the two types of construction of electronic sights, which is more durable?

There are the ones like this:

A small arch and it seems like the glass is really exposed

And then there are ones like the micro t-1, tube shaped and it seems like a more substantial housing protects the glass better.

For those who have used both the "arch" and "tube" ones, for lack of a better word, which has less risk of being damaged and/or is generally more durable?
 
Its not a matter of style, its a matter of brand. EoTech, Aimpoint, Doctor optic, Trijicon, you could throw in the Burris fasfire 2 its not bad. The rest are crap.

@ TDC: Hmm... Would have guessed a bulkier housing equates to more durability. Thanks for clearing up that false assumption.

The thick armor around an EoTech is fantastic, but it only protects the optic from impact. Poor electronics and the failures associated with them have nothing to do with the armor. Aimpoint has been proven for many years now.
