I have a 1915 mismatched DWM Luger

I shot 115 through it and it would not extract or work the action
I was advised to try 147

cycles fine now but no extraction./ejection.....I thought i cleaned it lol

where do you even get extractors / springs in canada for these old dogs ?
thanks in advance folks

Could be the extractor/extractor spring or it could be the ejector (metal bar on opposite side of frame from trigger bar).

After you fire or with a dummy round and manual operating the slide, is the shell retrieved by the bolt or does it remain in the chamber?

I had the same issue with my P08....the ejector bar was in rough shape...I carefully bent it in the middle and this resolved my FTE issues.

First, thanks all for the replies

Willy the round stays in the chamber so look at the ejector?

I wonder if they would let me do ipsc or idpa with a 32 rounder lol maybe clip a stock on for 3 gun lol

I was all set to do an informal 'Run and Gun' but mine was too finicky. Would have been nice to unholster it, slip the stock on and start the 'Run', very accurate pistol...but FTF plagued me.
Wasn't meant be I suppose. Still got 2nd in Vintage, lol.
Had fun none the less :)

Yep....my money would be on the extractor/extractor spring. Those are the parts on the bolt. The ejector is on the slide.

Send Tom an email and ask for a price on those two parts.

even with the problems its still fun to shoot.....and don't worry folks its a convert to restricted shooter grade......seem to like heavier bullets the 115 dont cut it

Although....it would probably be cheaper just to order the $10 spring service pack from Wolff and try with a new extractor spring first.

The kit also cones with other springs you may need in the future..

My Lugers all took 115 just fine. Chech the chamber, the replacement barrels could need chamber polishing. Also I'd suspect the extractor claw and spring.
